battle LAke

224 km out-and-back from Edmonton, AB. Mapped by Tim Bulger

Summary

Battle Lake is the headwaters of the Battle River, a major tributary of the North Saskatchewan River. This area is prime agricultural land criss-crossed by a network of gravel range roads and township roads allowing for plenty of options in how you make your way south.

Best time of year to go is May - October. Camping sites are first come first serve. Holiday weekends will be busy, but there are half a dozen walk-in sites which should not fill up.
